Welcome! I'm glad you're here.
Hey there! 👋 My name is Emma and I'm a UX Designer & Researcher. ✨
My experience covers working within a mission-driven agency and in the association, healthcare, financial technology, and cannabis industries collaborating with founders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on end-to-end user-centered research and design solutions. I also leverage 10+ years as a corporate fashion designer and non-profit manager to bring a unique and holistic perspective to product design.
📝 As a UX Designer and Researcher at Mighty Citizen I leveraged data-driven insights, information architecture, and an iterative design process to solve complex problems and create engaging and accessible digital experiences to align user needs with business goals, driving seamless and user-friendly interactions.
👕 As a Senior Designer with Abercrombie & Fitch I drove the design process for multiple categories including in depth research, iteration, and gaining buy-in and presenting to leadership all while managing a team of designers and working cross functionally with merchant, sourcing, planning, CAD, graphics, analyst, and tech teams.
🐱 As a program manager within the non-profit animal welfare space I built adoption and foster programs for from the ground up with a focus on designing the customer experience. This included improving the digital engagement through our website and apps, optimizing physical interactions on campus, and understanding client needs. Additionally, I contributed significantly to branding and marketing due to my design expertise.
💪 As a designer, I aim to develop products that create an impact. Through my work, I've learned how tools can create significant barriers to understanding and efficiency for consumers. I believe that by coupling design thinking with an enthusiasm for team collaboration, I’m able to be a strong advocate for others and make a difference.
Before my work in design, research, and non-profit management, I graduated with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where I studied Apparel Design.
For fun, you’ll most likely find me doodling in my sketchbook or creating custom pet portraits.
